Jennifer Jondreau is co-owner of American Sign Language, Inc., and is responsible for staff development, marketing and sales. Currently completing her doctoral studies at Union Institute and University, she holds a B.S. in psychology from Utica College of Syracuse University and an M.Ed. from Sacred Heart University.
Ms. Jondreau has been immersed in the deaf community since the age of 15, when her father, founder Frederic Jondreau, established ASLI in their New York City home. For the past 18 years, she has participated in events like “silent weekends,” and field trips to Gallaudet University.
She feels that the most rewarding aspect of her association with ASLI is the fact that she is continuing her father’s legacy. “He believed that it was important for all people to be able to communicate in order to build bridges between cultures.” said Ms. Jondreau. “He kept this vision from the day he started teaching sign language classes in our living room, and throughout the years, as ASLI grew into the agency that it is today. Continuing to build upon his passion and vision is something I believe in and is the best part of my job. It keeps me committed to providing the best possible service to our clients.”
David Jondreau is co-owner of American Sign Language, Inc., overseeing operations and focusing on staff development, marketing and sales. Holding a B.A. in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, he currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He literally grew up in the American Sign Language Institute (ASLI’s original name), with his bedroom adjacent to the classroom and office in his family’s New York City home. His first job was at age 12 when he was tasked with organizing the company’s computer systems.
After college, Mr. Jondreau moved to Washington, D.C., where he worked for a healthcare non-profit in administration and IT. After a brief stint with the now adolescent Sign Language Interpreting branch of ASLI, he moved to Santa Fe, where he took over his father’s role with the company, coordinating in a long distance capacity for the interpreting service. As such, he has been a driving force behind the streamlining of ASLI’s billing, scheduling and payroll processes.

She continues to use the skills she honed there.
